Winter storm headed to western Colorado

GRAND JUNCTION – The National Weather Service is warning residents in western Colorado that a powerful winter storm is headed their way.

Forecasters issued a winter weather advisory Thursday in advance of the storm, which they say could be powerful and cold.

The weather service says some areas can expect strong winds and up to 14 inches of snow.
