Woman rescued after overnight stay on mountain

ESTES PARK ” A Boulder woman in her early 20s has been rescued after getting stranded overnight in a crevice on a mountain near Estes Park.

Nearly 30 people from the Larimer County sheriff’s office, Larimer County Search and Rescue, the Estes Park Fire Department and Rocky Mountain National Park rescued the woman Sunday morning. The woman, whose name wasn’t released, was taken to Estes Park Medical Center to be checked for injuries.

Her condition wasn’t immediately available.



Authorities say the woman was hiking with friends Saturday night when she fell and became stuck in a crevice. Crews responded shortly after midnight.
