Woman rescued on Quandary

BLUE RIVER – Summit Search and Rescue crews spent an hour Wednesday searching for a lost hiker on Quandary Peak south of the town of Blue River.

Elizabeth D. Hamilton of Portland, Ore., said she and some of her family members were hiking up the 14,265-foot elevation peak when she became tired and told them to go on without her.

Shortly thereafter, however, she became cold and decided to descend the mountain on her own.

When she got lost, she called for help; rescuers found Hamilton and escorted her to her car.
