Women’s fishing and archery workshop in Durango

Women interested in learning the basics of fly fishing and shooting a bow can sign up to attend an all-day workshop, June 19, at the Haviland Lake State Wildlife Area, about 15 miles north of Durango.

“Cast and Twang,” presented by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW), is open to women only, ages 14 and up. No experience is necessary, but anyone 16 or older must have a Colorado fishing license. The DOW will provide expert instructors and all equipment. Participants will be on their feet all day. They need to have good shoes, appropriate clothing, lunch and a water bottle.
