A World War II fighter pilot is inviting the Summit County community to join a potluck party to celebrate his 101st birthday Friday.

Stuart ‘Boot’ Gordon is asking his friends and acquaintances to join him at his home on the Blue River, which he calls the “foam dome,” for a Dalmatian-themed get-together from noon to 10 p.m.

“Wear a costume, bring your Dalmatian look-alike dog, bring a log for the fire, bring your favorite dish to share, and BYOB,” the invite states.
