Young people encouraged to register to vote

The county clerk and recorder’s office is hoping to motivate young people to register and vote for the election later this year, hosting a voter registration drive today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Summit High School.The primary day for the upcoming November election is Aug. 8, so students who will turn 18 by that date will be eligible to vote – but they need to register first.Contact either Cheri, Kathy or Diane at the county clerk’s office at (970) 453-3479 with any questions, or just show up at Summit High today.
