What programs would you cut from government budgets if you had your say?

“I know that they’re hard choices. I hate to say higher ed, but I feel that we’ve got to get the kids there and that we’ve got to lay the foundation. So if they’re going to be cutting education, I’d rather make it higher education.”

Marnie Haywood

“It’s not my job, so I’ve never considered it. I wouldn’t want to cut education. I can’t pick one thing that I could say for sure to cut.”

Mario Silva

“I say we cut the programs that don’t work. Honestly, they sell tax increases and whatnot by saying it’s for the schools and it’s for the public programs. But if those things are broken, why are you tossing more money into the pool? So, to tell you the truth, I would cut programs similar to that that don’t work until you can reform it and figure out how to make it work.”
