A-Basin is it

Many people are wondering why Copper Mountain, Breckenridge and Keystone aren’t open, considering the bevy of snowfall.

Fact is, most skiers and snowboarders this time of year are thinking about golf, sprucing up their lawns and gardens and where to go on vacation when the kids get out of school. Except those of us in Summit County, that is.

Lucky us, we have Arapahoe Basin. This is the time of year when Arapahoe Basin capitalizes on being the only Summit County resort still open. Now through its Fourth of July closing, A-Basin takes in significant revenues.

If the other resorts were to stay open, A-Basin might not be a sustainable enterprise. So quit complaining and get up to the Basin, where the skiing is better than ever.
