Best of the Best issue brings out the worst

I’m sorry your publication has divided the businesses in Summit County with your Best of the Best Issue.

Those highlighted by you have not done anything more special than any of the many other businesses in the county other than to solicit more signatures to be sent to you. This is solely a “who can campaign the best” issue. I would hate to see this type of thing escalate.

I hope it’s your last issue.

I hated it in high school, even though I played the game then (I was sports editor of the school paper), which probably has something to do with why I hate it so much now. It demeans all the many great businesses we have in Summit County who, day in and day out, are working hard and quietly in their own special niches to be successful and do their best to give the county a vibrancy no other county has.

They all deserve a pat on the back, not a kick in the pants, and especially when they are all your advertisers.
