Cheers and Jeers

Jeers: To those responsible for burglarizing the Summit High School boys soccer team locker room during the team’s opening home match of the season on Wednesday. Thieves stole five cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash. According to school officials, the perpetrators were caught. The incident left a sour taste in the mouths of the Tiger players when they discovered it after their 1-0 victory. Cheers: To the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center for helping all the Breckenridge Crest Marathon trail runners get through the blizzard on top of the Tenmile Range last Sunday and make it back to town with all their fingers and toes unfrozen. (Well maybe not Doc PJ’s. He ran the marathon in his sandals!)Jeers: To the Frisco Station shopping center folks who water their weeds on Summit Boulevard on a regular basis. Cheers: To the tireless volunteers who make the Breckenridge Festival of Film bigger and better every year. It continues through Sunday.
