CSU does right to boot rioters

Colorado State University’s tough stance on out-of-control partyers is the right one. Those participating in the riots of Aug. 21-22, and who got caught, should be made examples of what happens to drunken and drugged idiots who have too much time and too little ambition on their hands. The fact these are our college students is disturbing.Administrators kicked out seven students and put 15 on probation. Delta Sigma Phi fraternity members must show why their charter should not be suspended.Administrators and police are still checking out videotapes, and other students could face discipline. We hope so.Rioting for the mindless sake of it is bad enough, and in the big picture, it does little to help the cause in the Legislature when our public universities and colleges beg for more money.
