Letter to the editor: A bright spot in the post office issues in Summit County
Frisco
After reading the article this morning about the Dillon Post Office, I am reminded of one Frisco Post Office worker who is going beyond the call of duty to serve her community.
Two times this past week, I waited in some long lines to pick up packages. Singlehandedly, this one worker by herself is serving the needs of all the people waiting in long lines. In a short amount of time, she smiles, she offers encouragement to people waiting in line, she runs when she needs to search for a package stored on shelves in another room, she expertly answers questions, sells stamps, completes a variety of transactions quickly and is generally the one person people have to come to know as helpful, trustful, skilled, speedy, knowledgeable and kind.
Why can’t the Post Office hire more people who have these skills?
