Letter to the editor: CDOT should continue to work on highway interchanges

Bennett R. Little
Frisco

The Summit Daily News published a story on Jan. 3 that said the Colorado Department of Transportation won’t continue with major Exit 205 improvements.

Anyone familiar with the traffic situation realizes this is a major problem that needs to be mitigated in some way. I understand the logic about right-of-way issues and property lines. There needs to be some kind of solution ,especially in light of the Summit County government’s proposal to develop the Lake Hill Parcel with upwards of 450 homes and the potential for additional housing with the addition of a senior housing complex.

With Dillon Dam Road closed frequently, especially during the winter months, Exit 205 and the Exit 203 entrance into Frisco and Breckenridge will become even more difficult. What can be done to mitigate this problem prior to it being created?
