Letter to the editor: Elections for Summit’s commissioners can’t come soon enough
Breckenridge

Did everyone read Summit County Commissioner Tamara Pogue’s quote in the Sept. 6 issue of the Summit Daily?
“We have to find a way to balance out the economic success of individuals with these properties against the economic success and infrastructure capacity of our communities,” she said.
So there you have it in black and white. Progue said nothing about tying short-term regulations to workforce housing needs. It’s about “the economic success of individuals.” County commissioners saw the economic success of the short-term rental market, and they wanted a piece of it.
The elections can’t come soon enough.
