Letter to the Editor: Frisco Town Council is under the wrong impression

Tom Castrigno
Frisco

This letter is in response to a story in Summit Daily News on May 26, regarding paid parking at Frisco Marina.

Commenting on his support for the process and the conclusion reached by Town council to implement paid parking at the marina, council member Andy Held said, “No one standing up in opposition tonight is evidence of that.”

Mr. Held, do not delude yourself that no one is in opposition to council’s decision. Community members turned out in considerable numbers at previous Town council meetings expressing strong opposition to paid parking.

Alternative solutions were suggested by the community. We did not show up at the May 24 meeting because it was previously made clear that council was forging ahead disregarding community input.
