Letter to the Editor: I agree that we should all vote ‘character first’ this election

Chris Dorton’s letter not only correctly assesses our political divide problem but also gives the solution. Vote “character first.”
Hopefully we haven’t slipped too far to do just that. Another test for the electorate is coming soon when many ballots feature unqualified, low-quality (per Sen. Mitch McConnell) candidates.
