Letter to the editor: Kudos to Silverthorne post office during busy time of year
Silverthorne
In light of recent news regarding challenging experiences at local post offices, I want to take a moment to recognize the staff at the Silverthorne post office for their efforts. I visited the post office Monday and found a full parking lot and long line to reach the counter, where two staff members were servicing customers. Not long after I arrived, a third staff member came out and asked for all individuals picking up packages to form a separate line and she would assist them. Within minutes, more than a dozen customers received their packages and were on their way. This allowed for the counter staff to focus on customers, like myself, who needed to make purchases or needed other assistance. I went from what was likely a 15-20 minute wait to reach the counter to being helped and out the door within five minutes. And every staff member I witnessed was gracious and friendly. Not an easy task considering the hours they’re likely working at this time of year. Kudos to the team at the Silverthorne post office.
