Letter to the editor: No jerseys, and no music in the lift line, please
Frisco
In these divisive times, there is little that unites us — be it preserving our democracy on a national scale, or opposition to a “by right” monstrosity in our little county — but I think the issue that unifies is obvious. And with the ski season starting in Summit County this past weekend, the urgency has never been greater.
Can we stop with the wearing of sports jerseys over the jackets? Sadly, the vast majority of offenders are not regular readers of this opinion section — nor residents of the Mountain Time zone.
Listen, I get it. Patrick Mahomes is good at football. Yes, I’m aware there are professional teams in Texas. If you feel compelled to keep doing this, at least dial back the obnoxiousness level to something under 11. Also, nobody wants to listen to your music in the lift line.

Summit Daily is embarking on a multiyear project to digitize its archives going back to 1989 and make them available to the public in partnership with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. All donations made in 2023 will go directly toward this project.
