Letter to the Editor: Rep. Neguse should reduce spending if he wants to help fix inflation

The front page of the Summit Daily featured an article titled “Neguse talks inflation in Summit” on July 18.
The article notes Rep. Neguse’s concern for the citizens of Summit County and other mountain communities over the impact of the extreme inflation currently ravaging low-income families.
Economics 101 teaches that government spending is directly related to inflation. The current administration has taken spending to insane levels not millions, not billions, but trillions. Congressman Neguse has been a rubber-stamp politician supporting all of this spending.
His response to the problem is his support of the Ocean Shipping Reform Act? Bringing in more cheap plastic from China (and sending American jobs offshore) is going to help Summit County?
We need to demand more from our congressman than simply being the Nancy Pelosi’s yes man.
