Letter to the editor: Summit School District should consider these questions

Terry Thoem
Katy, Texas

There was an article in the Nov. 26 edition of Summit Daily News about pressure being applied to the Summit School District’s Board of Education to pass a policy to prevent federal agents from entering a school.

Two comments. Do the proponents want this to apply during a school shooting? No federal agents allowed to enter the school to stop lives being lost? Second, do the proponents know that Title 8 of federal law states clearly that federal laws supersede state or local laws/regulations/policies?
