Letter to the editor: Thank you, snow-movers, big and small in Summit County
Breckenridge
In all the angst and uncertainty that clouds our lives these days, I feel its a good time to give a shout-out to the snow-movers — from the road crews that do their vital work with the biggest of rigs while most of us are sleeping, to those of any age who sport a simple scoop shovel to clear the sidewalk. And everyone in-between. Even the snowcat Operators who leave their marks, literally, every day for the safety and enjoyment of many they’ll never know.
While we all are grateful and giddy for our recent snow accumulations, it’s time to thank all the snow-movers that put it in its place.

Summit Daily is embarking on a multiyear project to digitize its archives going back to 1989 and make them available to the public in partnership with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. All donations made in 2023 will go directly toward this project.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
