Letter to the editor: The Breckenridge e-bike program isn’t impressive

John F. O’Neill
Silverthorne

Are congratulations truly due to Breckenridge on the carbon dioxide reduction resulting from its electric bike initiative?

A reduction of nearly 23,000 lbs of CO2 was achieved for the cost of $360,000. Quite a bargain at a mere $15.65 per pound of carbon dioxide!

The math involved is clear. The value is shockingly questionable.

I’d suggest the Breckenridge Town Council attend a seminar to improve critical thinking skills.
