Letter to the editor: Timberline Disposal is dumping recycling into the landfill

Holly Holden

It appears that Timberline Disposal & Recycling continues to drop the ball and provide substandard service to the residents of Summit County.

On Friday, at my condo complex, I noticed the trash pickup dumping the recycling in with the regular trash. I questioned the driver, who was very polite, and he explained the because of short staffing he was instructed to ignore recycling and just put everything in the trash.

I called the Timberline office and was told that no one was available to take my complaint, and I would have to leave a message, which I did.

So for the sake of expediency, unbeknownst to us, a huge amount of our recycling ended up in the landfill.

In my opinion, this is unconscionable.
