Letter to the editor: Vote Chris Alleman for Summit School District board
We are writing to support Christopher Alleman as a candidate for the Summit School District school board.
We have known Alleman for about 17 years, mainly in his role as the artistic director of the Lake Dillon Theatre Co. In that time, we have seen the passion he shows for the arts and his concern with education through the Lake Dillon Theatre’s youth programs and through his volunteering with the Summit High School drama club. This past spring, we had the opportunity to see his most recent performance as the director of “Peter and the Starcatcher” at Summit High School. Alleman has worked in developing the artistic programming of the Lake Dillon Theatre as it has grown through the years. He and Joshua Blanchard, the executive director, have helped lead the organization to its present state of the art performance center.
He has the organizational, budgeting and management skills needed to successfully lead the Summit school board into the future. As the father of a Silverthorne elementary school student, he is concerned about the future direction of education in the county. Alleman has been recognized by his colleagues with numerous awards, including Outstanding Nonprofit Professional philanthropy award and has served on state level boards and numerous professional organizations.
Please strongly consider Alleman for a position on the Summit School District board.
