Double-speak on powerful speakers: Obama’s OK, but not Ted Cruz? (letter)

Re: Jason Stanford’s opinion stating that Mr. Ted Cruz, presidential candidate, deserves a gold star for his ability to give a great speech, but then suggests everyone forget Mr. Cruz and what he says. Move on.

Just a few years ago we heard, ad nauseam, about the new golden tongued oratory of an unknown candidate for national office. Perhaps Mr. Stanford marveled at that candidate’s speech giving prowess at that time. That candidate is now president of the USA.

Now Mr. Stanford opines that another presidential candidate who speaks very well (with no teleprompter, I might add) and says important things that thinking Americans across the country may want to hear is not worthy of anyone’s time or consideration.

Sounds to me like double speak from Mr. Stanford.
