Giving instead of getting on Mother’s Day (letter)

Wow. I almost skipped over Cindy Bargell’s column today as the headline had the words “Mother’s Day” in it and I’m not much a fan of the holiday. However, I was completely thrown off as I read it. She is surely onto something. How about no more “stuff” for mothers ? How about remembering those without mothers, fathers, children, friends, community…

Thank you Cindy. Let’s turn around materialism for good towards helping our fellow man and give instead, as Cindy suggested, to the relief effort in Nepal.
