Letter to the editor: Don’t let government control your private real estate

Terry Lowe
Breckenridge

We know in past decades, Summit County towns have put very strict, very expensive restrictions on housing and building in general. That is the root of the workforce housing problem. Now, they want homeowners to solve the problem that was caused by government. Changing an accessory apartment to workforce housing in perpetuity is absolutely crazy! It is your property and you do not want government control of your private real estate. If towns want us to clean up their mess, they should be paying us in perpetuity.
