Letter to the editor: Linda Harmon’s column invokes right-wing temper tantrum

David Scott
Breckenridge

Who knew that the members of Come to the Table, Summit County’s so-called “nonpartisan grassroots group,” were such hyper-sensitive, overly delicate snowflakes? Linda Harmon’s March 10 column correctly states that the group’s website and Facebook page contain much anti-vax misinformation and other typical right-wing, dog-whistle rallying cries.

But the outpouring of righteous indignation from the group has been entertaining — although ultimately pathetic. One must only suffer through this delusional letter from Come to the Table devotee Penelope TerHaar, who claims that Harmon is part of a “leftist regime” and that “the Democratic Party won the last election in Colorado from ‘dark money’ led by millionaire Gov. Jared Polis” to see how nonpartisan the Come to the Table cabal truly is.

Thanks for the laughs, though.
