Letter to the editor: Reelect Ryne Scholl for Summit County treasurer

Bill Wallace
Berthoud

As a former Summit County treasurer, I was happy to see current Summit County Treasurer Ryne Scholl decisively selected at the Democratic assembly.

Scholl’s education and experience in finance made him my clear selection as my deputy treasurer in 2016. I knew the residents of Summit County would be served well by his expertise, compassion and dedication when he was elected as county treasurer in 2018. Scholl has exceeded my expectations in his service to Summit County residents these past eight years. Scholl has the expertise, the record, the knowledge and the resume needed to continue to best serve Summit County residents as your treasurer.

I have seen first hand how Scholl’s dedication has benefited your community. He volunteers his financial expertise to a number of nonprofit boards and, as a former professional golfer, Scholl is now sharing his knowledge and love of golf with our youths as the Summit High School varsity golf coach. Quite simply put, Scholl cares about his community in and out of the Treasurer’s Office.

When you cast your vote in June, I ask you to reelect Scholl for treasurer.
