The county’s doo-doo crisis

I am sending this note among protests by my children, who fear they will be ridiculed over my obsession with human and dog doo-doo.

Not a week goes by that I don’t discover a dirty diaper in the ditch in front of my house. I am not sure what can be going (or not going) through people’s minds as they fling such a thing out of their windows.

I constantly discover dog piles in my yard, even though we don’t own a dog – nothing against them, I am allergic to them.

The other day, I guess I reached my limit as I passed a woman with a dog on the lawn in front of Wendy’s in Silverthorne who allowed the dog to use the “facilities” not once, but twice – and then drove off.

I am concerned we may need to change that sign on the west side of the Eisenhower Tunnel reading “Colorado’s Playground” to “Colorado’s Litter Box” if things don’t improve.

Crap happens. Can’t we take care of our own?
