The Summit Foundation endorses affordable housing ballot item (letter)
In partnership with local nonprofits and our donors, The Summit Foundation offers leadership and resources to create ever-better mountain communities for everyone in Summit County. Housing is a basic need, yet many working families and individuals in our communities do not have access to attainable housing. Ballot Question 5A renews support for housing services in order to “improve the availability of rental and owner-occupied workforce and affordable housing.” Housing issues are complicated and of a magnitude that no one entity can resolve alone. The passage of 5A is a critical component in addressing these issues, and The Summit Foundation Board of Trustees endorses and encourages a “yes” vote on 5A.
