Walrond: Where is all the Summit County wildlife? (letter)

I just returned from Summit County after a month stay. I have been vacationing in Summit County during the summer months for over 10 years. During this stay, I saw no deer, moose, bighorn sheep or any wildlife except chipmunks. I did however see a hunter in full dress on a trail that had myself and many others (including children) enjoying the Summit County beauty. On one trailhead, a sign had been placed to remind hunters to be sure of their shot.

Hunters make up 5-6% of the American population, which means 95% do not hunt. I understand that hunters are very vocal and you will never be able to stop them but you might want to curb hunting unless you simply do not want any wildlife in the area.
