‘Dog butt where my groceries might be tomorrow’ (letter)
First of all, I’m an animal lover.
I’m still sad over the fact that I had to put down my cat last year after 22 years of faithful companionship. But, I’ve had it with people who let their dogs intrude where they are not allowed or welcome.
And, I’m not only talking about the usual cases where people continue to bring their pets into events where advertising and signage make it clear they are not wanted. I’ve been here four weeks and have seen the following:
At a restaurant in Keystone, a guy brings his dog onto the patio then lets it jump up on the bench of the picnic table and put his face on the tabletop
At the top of the Gondola, again at Keystone, a nice man goes around with iced beverages for purchase. When he puts the bucket on the ground to make a sale to a lady, she lets her dog stick its head in the bucket and nuzzle the cans that are still to be sold
At the Frisco Walmart, a man wheels in a shopping cart with his dog sitting inside the cart. Dog butt where my groceries might be tomorrow. Double gross.
In Breckenridge, I’ve been to two different nail salons ,and both had dogs running around. Yuck.
