Every: an anonymous act of kindness

Act of kindness

I encountered an honorable act by an anonymous person on Sunday, and I want to acknowledge her. I left my fanny pack in the bathroom at the Breckenridge Transfer Station around 2:30 PM, and realized it an hour later while stuck in Sunday eastbound I-70 traffic. Not only would it be several hours before I could get back to Breck, but I had an extra hour-plus of “driving” to worry that I had a 50/50 chance of it being found by someone of integrity or one with different intentions for my cash, credit cards and ID. I enlisted the help of a coworker, who tracked it down at the gondola lost-and-found office — with everything intact. Clearly, it had been turned in by the aforementioned woman of integrity. I am overwhelmed with gratitude… may her kindness return to her tenfold.
