Pacot: Ayn Rand Republicans on the Colorado ballot

Ayn Rand Republicans on the Colorado ballot

“The goal of the ‘liberals’—as it emerges from the record of the past decades—was to smuggle this country into welfare statism by means of single, concrete, specific measures, enlarging the power of the government a step at a time, never permitting these steps to be summed up into principles, never permitting their direction to be identified or the basic issue to be named. Thus statism was to come, not by vote or by violence, but by slow rot—by a long process of evasion and epistemological corruption, leading to a fait accompli.” – Ayn Rand

We have seen the systematic march to statism (control of personal, economic, and social policy) here in Summit County, our state, and our country by the Democrats for decades. Anytime any person tries to define the progressive left’s actions for what they truly are, the sycophantic media sends an Obi-Wan Kenobi “move along, nothing to see here” message to the masses. The Fourth Estate has devolved into nothing more than the American rebranding of the Pravda propaganda machine.

Conservatives in large part have been loath to do anything but either attempt to slow down the runaway train of big government or actually hop on board chanting the mantra “We won’t be quite as bad and we can definitely do it cheaper.”

We need to elect people that do more than give lip service to the Constitution during election season. We need to elect people that will do right by our founding principles and restore the Republic back to a small government truly owned by the people and not a nation of people owned by the government.

If you want an ever-expanding overlord of a government, less prosperity, less jobs, less freedoms, and less transparency; keep electing John Hickenlooper, Mark Udall, Millier Hamner, and Dan Gibbs. If you want a small and restricted government aligned with the vision of the Founders, prosperity, jobs, freedoms and true transparency; elect Bob Beauprez, Corey Gardner, Debra Irvine, and Allen Bacher.

Vote to restore your liberties, freedoms, and futures of your children; vote Republican.
