Long live Fiesta Frisco

Frisco Mayor Bob Moscatelli is enthused the first Fiesta Frisco Saturday was such a success. He should be.

The inaugural local celebration of the Latino culture brought out a diversity of people to enjoy Latino music, dancing, food and drink. A healthy crowd showed up to rub elbows and cultures at Frisco Historic Park. The 100 block of Main Street was closed off for the event.

One visitor was overheard saying she wasn’t sure where she was, American, south of the border or in Austria. She loved it. The reference was to diversity of the crowd and, of course, the mountain setting.

Moscatelli is known for his consideration of Summit County’s growing Latino workforce.

He and the town are to be congratulated for putting on a great event where the cultures associate outside of the workplace.
