Where to vote
Breckenridge Town Council candidate Carol Rockne played the voter registration system to claim her residence was in the Dredge restaurant apartment in town when her real home was in Warrior’s Mark, outside of town at the time.
At least she admitted it when challenged at Monday’s candidates debate.
The fact she changed her registration to her main home when Warrior’s Mark was annexed last year tells the story, no matter how many nights she says she slept at the Dredge.
Rockne justified her stance by claiming her significant commercial properties in town as a reason to have a voice. That’s not how the voter registration system works.
None of this is inspiring for a successful Rockne election to the town council.
