Kevin Fixler

Kevin Fixler is a former environmental reporter for the Summit Daily News. He joined the Summit Daily News team in November 2015 after a lengthy career as a freelance sportswriter for a myriad of national publications based out of Denver and Oakland, California, before that. He is a graduate of the University of California-Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism and also holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in journalism and American history from the University of Denver. While sports are no longer his focus, Kevin still occasionally enjoys watching as a fan, and otherwise spends his free time in the county hiking tall peaks, snowboarding fluffy snow and hanging with his beloved mountain cat Milo.
