Avalanche, Wolski agree to terms

DENVER ” The Colorado Avalanche agreed to terms Thursday with forward Wojtek Wolski, their first-round pick in the 2004 draft.

Terms were not released.

Wolski, a native of Poland, spent the last three seasons with Brampton of the Ontario Hockey League. He led Brampton in scoring in 2004-05 with a career-high 73 points (29 goals, 44 assists).

General manager Pierre Lacroix said Wolski had shown “tremendous capabilities” in workouts this week.

“Wojtek is a very gifted young prospect and he has a bright future in front of him,” he said.
