Bubble Gum Ski Race Series continues at Adventure Park
Last week the Frisco Adventure Park hosted the second event in its free Bubble Gum Ski Race series.
The noncompetitive community race series on the Frisco peninsula provides an opportunity for children and adults to try ski racing in friendly environment.
Racers can tackle the course on the Adventure Park’s ski slope multiple times. Participants are not timed, but instead given pieces of bubble gum that they will keep or give away based on their race finishes. The racer who has the most bubble gum at the end of the races wins. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate.
Parents, siblings and friends are all encouraged to try racing one another. The Bubble Gum series will continue on Monday, March 16, with an obstacle course and on Monday, March 30, with a dual slalom.
Free day-of registration for the races is available from 4 to 5 p.m. inside the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge at 621 Recreation Way in Frisco. Races run from about 5 to 6 p.m. Participants must provide their own ski equipment, and helmets are required to race.
Free hot cocoa and cookies will be served at the lodge afterward.
