Burn the fudge with the Holiday Calorie Burn

BRECKENRIDGE – Gaining a few pounds during the holiday season is unavoidable, right? Wrong. Adults of all ages and fitness levels are invited to participate in the inaugural Holiday Calorie Burn at the Breckenridge Recreation Center. Learn how to keep those extra pounds off with the help of fitness-and-wellness expert Lee Chandler. The four-week program costs $32 per person and classes will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays (5:15-6 p.m.) from Nov. 27 – Dec. 20. The Holiday Calorie Burn is a fitness challenge for individuals to get or stay in shape during the madness of the holiday season. Participants who attend all eight classes will be awarded points for attendance. Participants will also receive points for weight and girth changes throughout the four weeks and for participating in additional fitness classes offered by the recreation department. Program participants, who will receive a free T-shirt, will be issued a card to track class participation, and personal progression and prizes will be awarded to the overall point leader. To gain more info, or to register for the program, presented by the Breck Rec Department and Great Adventure Sports, call (970) 453-1734, or visit http://www.townofbreckenridge.com.
