Cycling heavyweight Tyler Hamilton (plus free beer!) at Westin Riverfront in Avon June 8

Can Do MS is hosting a free “Truth and Transformation” community event with former professional cyclist Tyler Hamilton on Thursday, June 8, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at The Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa in Avon.

The highlight of the evening is an open-ended talk from New York Times best-selling author Tyler Hamilton, who was once one of the world’s top-ranked cyclists and a fierce competitor renowned for his epic tolerance for pain. Hamilton — who once competed alongside Lance Armstrong and now trains cyclists around the world — will discuss how culture can drive behavior, not just in sports, but also in business and in life, and how values can be easily compromised as a consequence.

The event will be held on the patio at Maya at The Westin Riverfront and features complimentary beer from Crazy Mountain Brewing Company, along with happy hour pricing on tacos, margaritas and more.

Based in Avon, Can Do MS (formerly The Jimmie Heuga Center) is a national nonprofit organization that transforms lives by delivering health-and-wellness education programs for families living with multiple sclerosis, according to a release from the event organizers. Programs focus on exercise, nutrition, symptom management and motivation to thrive in life. In 2016, Can Do MS impacted more than 30,000 people through in-person and online programs.

The Westin Riverfront is located at 126 Riverfront Lane in Avon. For more information, see or call 1-866-949-1616.
