No snow has fallen yet in the county, but that doesn’t mean anxious skiers can’t get a jump start on the season. The Summit County Nordic centers are offering early season rates on season passes through Oct. 31.

Passes can be purchased individually for the three centers or in a joint pass.

The Breckenridge Nordic Center is located off Ski Hill Road on Peak 8 in Breck; the Gold Run Nordic Center is in Breck as well, off Tiger Road; and the Frisco Nordic Center is off Highway 9 just south of town.

Nordic season pass rates for the 2010-11 season remain the same as last season, starting at $200 for an individual adult pass. Six-month and one-year pass holders at the Breckenridge Recreation Center can purchase a Nordic add-on pass starting at only $100. A joint add-on pass, valid at Gold Run, Breckenridge and Frisco, is $155.

The preseason Nordic Season Pass Office for all three centers is now open through the Breckenridge Recreation Department. All passes are available for online purchase at http://www.goldrunnordic.com. For additional information about preseason pass purchases, contact the Nordic Season Pass Office at (970) 547-7889.
