The Gold Run Nordic Center officially opened for the season today. The center, which is located on the site of the Breckenridge Gold Course, is slated to be open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to a press release issued by the Town of Breckenridge, Gold Run will have more than 4,000 kilometers of groomed trails for either classic and skate skiing.

On Saturday, the center will hold a local’s appreciation day by offering locals a free day of skiing on Gold Run’s trails. Participants must bring proof of Summit County or surrounding county residency in order to get the day pass.

In addition, the Clubhouse Restaurant is now open for lunch and dinner, and ice skating is available on site with skate rentals in the clubhouse.

Season, punch and day passes are all still available, and the clubhouse has equipment for purchase or rent.

The Nordic center is located at 200 Clubhouse Drive.
