Great Adventure opens doors for ski and golf swap

BRECKENRIDGE – Individuals with winter gear or golf clubs clogging their closets and collecting cobwebs should take advantage of Great Adventure Sports’ ski and golf swap Friday and Saturday.

The shop, located near City Market in Breckenridge, has run the swap a couple of times in the past, and staff members said it is basically a large garage sale for locals.

“Sometimes it seems like locals get lost anymore in the big swaps,” said Great Adventure’s Mark Taylor. “It’s mainly something to do to get rid of stuff in your closet and maybe make some money on it. There’s some other stuff going on, too.”

Clif bar representatives will be on hand with prize giveaways and beer will be available courtesy of Breckenridge Brewery.

For $1 per item, individuals can drop off unwanted winter sports and golf gear from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. to noon Friday. The swap begins at 3 p.m. Friday and continues from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Each $1 fee per sale item is donated to the United States Disabled Ski Team.
