Locals among those confirmed for Dew Tour

The list of confirmed athletes for the Winter Dew Tour’s Nike 6.0 Open at Breckenridge was announced, and some of the sport’s biggest names are set to compete when the event kicks off Dec. 16.
Summit County athletes Steve Fisher, Bobby Brown, Eric Willett, Colby West and Zack Black, who are all prequalified for the first stop of the third annual winter action sports series, confirmed their entries into the field, according to a statement from Alli Sports, which operates the tour.
Confirmed into the open qualifying is Copper Mountain’s Clair Bidez.
Also in the field will be Olympic-team snowboarders Louie Vito and Mason Aguirre, Olympic gold medalist Kelly Clark, freeskiers Simon Dumont and Peter Olenick and snowboard slopestyle veteran Andreas Wiig.
Another round of confirmed athletes will be announced on Tuesday.
The event runs from Dec. 16-19 in Breck with competitions in men’s and women’s snowboard and freeski superpipe and slopestyle.
