Locals take titles in NTRP tournament

BRECKENRIDGE – The Breckenridge National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) Tournament wrapped up Sunday with several local tennis players earning titles.

Lisa Angell of Frisco won the women’s 4.0 singles while Jennifer Graves of Alma won the women’s 3.5 singles.

Graves also won gold in the women’s 3.5 doubles with Anyes Adams of Breckenridge.

On the men’s side, Craig Walsh of Silverthorne advanced to the men’s 4.0 singles final before losing to No. 1-seeded Dan McGlothlin of Longmont.

The NTRP is used by the United States Tennis Association to rank players throughout the country. The ratings range from 0 for beginners to 7 for elite professionals, and skill levels increase at .5 increments.
