Lynch, Beling headed to J2 nationals in Sun Valley

Summit County alpine ski racers Taylor Lynch and Drew Beling have qualified for the prestigious J2 national championships, to be contested next week in Sun Valley, Idaho. The event is one of the biggest youth ski racing gatherings in America, and traditionally serves to predict which young racers could have a shot at the U.S. Ski Team. Lynch and Beling will compete against about 50 other top racers from around the country in a schedule that includes two downhill training days, a downhill race, a super G race, a giant slalom race and a slalom competition. The J2 age group features 15- and 16-year-olds.
