VIDEO: The Christmas holiday got off to a stellar start when a foot of snow blanketed Breckenridge and most of Summit County on Wednesday. It kept going into the night, which means plenty of fresh tracks still to be had with more on the way. Z Griff heads into the great white yonder for pre-Christmas turns.

Summit Daily field report: A crisp, clear Thursday morning. High of only around 20°, Lot’s of good snow fell yesterday and there will be a bunch left today.
Weather: High 16°,lLow 8°. Sunny early with clouds late.
Lift lines: We have some holiday crowds but it plays both ways. Lots of travel, holiday errands today and not to mention tired legs from yesterday.
Breakdown: A foot blanketed the county yesterday and it was a full-on pow day. Today is the bluebird after the storm and there could be some tasty openings and blown-in pockets.
