Copper Mountain official report: 1” of snow reported at 5 a.m., an additional 1-2” inches expected during the day

Explore Summit field report: A little over an inch of fresh snow overnight. There’s a great little coating of snow on the groomers. Skiers and riders may want to stick to groomed runs today. Non-groomers are hard and icy underneath.

Weather: Around 19 degrees expected light snow during the day.

Liftline status: No line at 9 a.m.

Run of the day: Under Super Bee at Copper

Breakdown: Copper is reporting 20 lifts open on 1425.7 acres, with new terrain expected to open during the week

Snowcast: NOAA is calling for continuing snow, mainly after noon. Expected high near 28. Wind chill values as low as -5. Breezy, with a west southwest wind 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
